Talk by Real Estate Executive and Philanthropist Ken Fisher to Be Streamed Online

Ken Fisher, a real estate executive and philanthropist, recently spoke to students on  -- and his talk is now available for on-demand viewing at no charge.

Fisher's talk, "Our Nation's Wounded: Leadership Challenges in a Time of Austerity," centered around the work of the Fisher House Foundation, how he uses his business background to run it, and how the foundation stays "agile."

He also discussed his role on the presidential commission, the special projects it has accomplished (i.e. the Fisher House in Great Britain), and its role in bailing out the government during the shutdown. Fisher also offered insight in dealing with the Pentagon regarding the fiscal year 2015 defense budget and sequestration, and what challenges our military will face going forward.

About the Speaker

Kenneth Fisher is a senior partner at Fisher Brothers, based in New York City, and is part of the third generation of leadership, overseeing the leasing, management, and marketing of more than 5 million square feet of class-A commercial space in midtown Manhattan.

He is also chairman and CEO of the Fisher House Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that constructs "comfort homes" for families of hospitalized military personnel and veterans. He also serves as co-chairman of the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum in New York City, which welcomes nearly 1 million visitors every year.
