Meet Tiffany Valentin Huff '12

Where do you live?

Atlanta, GA

What do you do for work currently?

I am currently a stay-at-home mom with two daughters.

What did you learn at IC that helped you get to where you are today (personally or professionally)?

At IC I learned the importance of positive leadership. I learned how to self-reflect, give, and receive feedback and problem solve. Everyone in a team may not think alike but everyone’s skills are necessary to achieve the shared goal. The folks you least expect are the ones you learn the most from.

How did you get involved with IC after graduating (did you volunteer? Did you speak in a classroom? Attend events?)?

After graduating from IC, I mentored students in the HEOP and CSTEP programs and participated in various panels and workshops. In 2015 I began working for IC until 2022.

Why do you LOVE IC?

I love IC because it’s where I met my closest circle of friends who I now consider my family. It has been wonderful remaining connected to folks I even met as a staff member. We truly are a community.

Anything else interesting/pertinent that you’d like to include: (Are you close with other alumni? A professor you loved? Student orgs you were involved with?)

The folks I met the summer prior to my first year are the folks in my closest circle. We’ve supported each other during weddings, children, graduate school and beyond. Your community is so important as they will help you navigate life.
