Farewell to Raquib Zaman

Raquib Zaman, Dana Professor and chair of the Department of Finance and International Business, is retiring this spring after 40 years of service to Ithaca College. The School of Business marked this momentous occasion with tribute events in Ithaca and New York City in his honor.

Professor Zaman was joined by his students, fellow faculty, staff, alumni, and other members of the campus community on March 5 in the Emerson Suites, as they said farewell to their beloved professor.

Then, on April 2, alumni and friends gathered at the Down Town Association in New York City to celebrate Professor Zaman's legacy and toast his successful career. We've posted some recollections from those who spoke at the event, as well as a photo gallery.

Preserving His Legacy

The M. Raquib Zaman Business Scholarship, established in honor of his teaching and leadership, will be awarded to a student in the School of Business majoring in accounting or business administration. Learn more about the scholarship.
