REGISTRATION

Where do I register for Alumni Weekend? 

Registration for Alumni Weekend will be open early in 2024! Come back to our website in the coming months to register and purchase your tickets for events hosted during IC Alumni Weekend 2024.

How will I know if my registration has been received and processed?

You will receive an email confirmation – be sure to check your junk and spam folders!

Can I pay at the door for an Alumni Weekend event?

You may not be granted entry at the door due to capacity and/or guarantees provided to our venues. We strongly encourage and prefer pre-registration for all events to ensure proper space and meal planning. We kindly ask all alumni and their guests to register by Friday, June 7, 2024.

I've already registered, can I add an additional event?

Yes! You can modify your registration by visiting the Self Modification Page of the Registration Platorm.

How do I cancel my event registration?

To cancel your event registration, please contact IC's Office of Alumni Engagement at alumni@ithaca.edu or (866) 442-2586. To receive a full refund on your cancellation, you must cancel at least 10 business days prior to the event. Are refunds allowed?

Can I find out who else is attending?

Yes! The Who's Coming page of the registration platform features a list of all attendees that opted to make their attendance public.

Can I get contact information for other alumni before Alumni Weekend?

You may look up and contact fellow IC alumni through the Alumni Directory.

 

REUNION

What will be on the Alumni Weekend schedule of events?

The weekend schedule will include reunion happy hours and dinners, the Alumni Awards Ceremony, activities out and around Ithaca, and more! In addition to Reunion events, experience Ithaca in its summer glory. We hope you’ll be there. The weekend's full schedule of events is avialable here.

I want to volunteer for my reunion! How can I help?

We would love to have you volunteer for the reunion advisory committee! Please complete the volunteer interest form.

How can I nominate an Ithaca College alum for the Alumni Awards?

Nominations for the  2024 Alumni Awards have closed. Nomination forms for the 2025 awards will be available shortly after this year's Alumni Weekend.

What activities will there be for my class reunion?

Class reunion events are being organized and are part of the schedule of events available here.

Will there be any reunion events happening virtually?

No, at this time all events will be in-person only. 

 

LODGING AND TRAVEL

Where should I stay while in Ithaca?

Ithaca College has reserved blocks of rooms at various hotels in and around Ithaca for Alumni Weekend guests. Visit our lodging page for a list of hotels.

What can we do in Ithaca?

Alumni Weekend will host many events and experiences, however, we invite you to reconnect and engage with the beauty of Ithaca and the Finger Lakes while visiting! To learn more about things to do, trip planning, and more check out Visit Ithaca, as well as Downtown Ithaca.

Can I stay on campus during Alumni Weekend?

Yes! Back by popular demand, a limited supply of on-campus housing is available for guests of alumni weekend. These include Single, Double, and Triple Rooms in Emerson Hall; 2 and 4 person Apartments in Garden 25; and Single and Double Rooms in Clarke Hall (Lower Quads). A single rate reserves a unit for the entire weekend, with early check-in available on Thursday, June 20.

All rooms come with basic linens (fitted sheet, flat sheet, two pillows, two towels and one washcloth per person) and basic toiletries (mini sized soap, body wash, and shampoo). Guests may want to bring additional items for the duration of their stay. 

    • Emerson Hall features temperature controlled rooms with private bathrooms. 1, 2, and 3 bed units are available. This building is fully accessible and ADA compliant.
    • Garden Apartment Building 25 features studio and 2 bedroom units, each with a small kitchen, a bathroom, and living area.
    • Clarke Hall is located in the Lower Quads and features traditional dorm rooms, gendered by wing, with shared bathroom facilities per wing on each floor. 1 and 2 bed units are available.

PLEASE NOTE: Only the primary registrant in your party is able to reserve housing. The primary registrant will be reserving the room or apartment for the entire party. 

 

PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION

Where should I park on campus during Alumni Weekend?

Alumni, families, and friends can park anywhere on IC campus during Alumni Weekend, with the exception of fire lanes and handicapped parking without a permit. We advise alumni not to park in the Visitor’s parking lot, as it will be used for Prospective Student visits during Alumni Weekend. 

What sort of transportation will be offered during Alumni Weekend?

We will not be offering transportation throughout Ithaca at this time. We recommend utilizing TCAT to get around downtown Ithaca.

What airport should I fly into for Alumni Weekend?

Ithaca is home to Ithaca Tompkins International Airport, but there are other airports nearby. Syracuse Hancock International Airport is 63 miles from Ithaca College, Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester Airport is 97 miles from Ithaca College, Elmira Corning Regional Airport is 37 miles from Ithaca College. 

Will IC offer airport pickup for Alumni Weekend?

IC will not offer airport pickup, but your hotel might. We recommend checking with your hotel front desk to arrange airport pickup.

 

ATTIRE

What is the suggested attire?

Casual and comfortable – you can’t go wrong in blue and gold! Ithaca in June can be extremely warm, or slightly chilly (especially in the evenings), so check the weather before packing and bring layers just in case. The attire we suggest for dinners and induction ceremonies is business casual to cocktail attire.

 

MISCELLANEOUS

Will the Alumni Weekend events be handicapped accessible?

Yes, but please notify the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement of any specific accommodations by contacting alumni@ithaca.edu or 607-274-3194 in advance, as alternative arrangements may need to be made for some events.

Will you accommodate my dietary needs?

Yes, we will provide dietary accommodations if informed. Please indicate your dietary needs on your registration form.

Can I bring my kids?

While we don’t have age requirements to attend alumni weekend events, we strongly discourage the attendance of children at events with alcohol. Kids are welcome to attend other Alumni Weekend events, but there will not be kid-friendly programming or activities planned.

 

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Cancellation Policy: Ithaca College reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances, which would make the event non-viable. If Ithaca College cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

Refund Policy: To receive a full refund, you must cancel at least 10 business days prior to the event by contacting alumniweekend@ithaca.edu or (866) 442-2586. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration. If you decide to not attend the event and would like the event cost to become a charitable contribution for tax purposes, you must notify the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement, in writing, that you will not be attending the event and that you wish to contribute the event cost as a charitable deduction. This notification must be made prior to Alumni Weekend as retroactive refunds cannot be processed.
