Meet Zack Ford '07

Where do you live?

Washington, DC

What do you do for work currently?

Alliance for Justice. Role: Press Secretary

What did you learn at IC that helped you get to where you are today (personally or professionally)?

Ithaca offered me the perfect opportunity to pursue my professional training and my person curiosities simultaneously. The career changes I've made since graduating are a credit to how well IC prepared me for the world.

How did you get involved with IC after graduating (did you volunteer? Did you speak in a classroom? Attend events?)?

I've taken great joy in giving back to IC in multiple ways. I've served on the regional committee in Washington, DC and I've come back to campus to speak in classes as well as events like National Coming Out Day and the Rainbow Reception.

Why do you LOVE IC?

The most meaningful relationships I've ever formed were made at Ithaca College. It's the place where I found myself and solidified my values. I even got an IC tattoo to remind myself daily of the person I grew up to be on South Hill.

Anything else interesting/pertinent that you’d like to include: (Are you close with other alumni? A professor you loved? Student orgs you were involved with?)

Feel free to reach out to me to chat about student government, music Greek life (Mu Phi Epsilon), or what it's like pursuing a career outside of music after completing a music degree!
