She has held residencies, performing recitals and presenting masterclasses at institutions such as UNC Greensboro, Western Michigan University, Texas A&M Kingsville, and more.

As a composer, Dr. Pigott blends contemporary classical music with Black musical idioms. Her works—performed by student and professional ensembles alike—include Against All Odds (Chromatic Brass Collective), Midnight Escape (Palisade Trumpet Collective), The Quarantine(r) March (performed by the IC Wind Ensemble in 2023) and a series of tuba and spoken word pieces showcased at the International Women’s Brass Conference, Shriver Hall Concert Series, and International Tuba and Euphonium Conference. Her first work for ensemble and spoken word, Roots Torn, Routes Chosen premiered with the Long Island Philharmonic in Fall 2024.
