Mark Dicker ’77

EDGAR “DUSTY” BREDBENNER JR. ’50 DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD

Mark is an Ithaca College graduate of the school of Health Sciences and Human Performance with a degree in Health Services Administration. Mark is a licensed nursing home administrator and the assistant executive director of Clear View Nursing Home, Shore View Nursing Home, Sea Crest Health Care Center and Manhattanville Nursing Care Center. He is a member of the American College of Health Care Administrators and the American Health Care Association.  Mark and his wife, Susan, have supported the college since he graduated and continue to lead the way in giving every year to the Ithaca College Annual Fund, is a member of the President’s Circle, was a major contributor to the A&E Center Campaign underwriting the Dicker Family Promenade, and created and sponsored numerous giving challenges. In 2006, Mark etablished the Dicker Family Scholarship, which is awarded to a deserving student majoring in art in the School of Humanities and Sciences. The scholarship is in honor of Mark and Susan’s daughter, Jaclyn G. Dicker '08, and her achievements. Mark’s wife, Susan, received an honorary alumni degree from Ithaca College in 2017. 

Mark served on the IC Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2005 to 2010, was an Alumni Trustee and then became an Ithaca College Trustee from 2010 to 2018, serving on the Buildings and Grounds and Institutional Advancement/Campaign committees. He was also a member if of the Athletics and Events Center National Committee.  In an issue of the IC View Magazine in 2012, Mark described Ithaca College: “where life’s journey develops.”  Mark knew at an early age he wanted to attend Ithaca College and since graduating in 1977 from IC, Mark has been there for Ithaca College whenever they need him.
